Technical & Research Writing
In the past few years, I’ve applied my research practices towards academic fields of sociology, gender, and media communications, not only pose research questions exploring these topics, but also to create a discussion on the analysis of these topics. The research papers I’ve curated within my undergraduate and graduate studies transitioned into my professional work, where I’ve had to create technical write-ups of abstracts, like social media guidelines for Pi Sigma Alpha National and a syllabi for my typing workshops at the Georgetown University Law Center.

Extensive research on the disproportional gender identity laws and practices for transgender voters from state to state was conducted in order for my group members and I to create a training pamphlet for poll workers to properly conduct appropriate and legal gender identification practices during election seasons. We chose to hypothetically pitch our gender identity training program to the National Center for Transgender Equality in hopes that, if our program were to be enacted across the nation, this organization would be the most successful to leverage their broad outreach for the greater good.
