  • Using communication theories and research on social media presence amongst organizations, I analyzed music industry agent Atlantic Records on their social media presence. I used Atlantic Records signee Charli XCX as a case study to analyze her social media use under Atlantic Records, as well as Atlantic Records’ social media presence in supporting one of their signed artist. Over the course of two and a half months, I collected and coded data from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to determine both how much social media presence both entities have and how efficient their social media presence is.

  • Over 50 pages worth of evidence, research, and theoretical notions were organized to chronologically analyze the like and work of experimental musician Sophie Xeon (stylized as SOPHIE). From the start of her career, she transitioned not only as a private-to-public artist, but also as a private-to-public human. I analyzed her use of lyrics, visuals, products, and cultural evidence to put a scope on her transgender experience and how that was depicted through her art. Research on gender studies and the trans experience was used to mirror SOPHIE’s experience for further theoretical support.

  • As a social media coordinator and content developer for Pi Sigma Alpha National, I designed a social media guideline that was distributed to the 700+ Pi Sigma Alpha National chapters across the nation to both establish rules for social media use and assist chapters on how to maintain an active profile. By researching the media presence of current Pi Sigma Alpha chapters, as well as the media presence of other honor societies, I learned how to identifying with the inconsistencies across all chapters by creating this social media guide.

  • I had the reoccurring opportunity to host a typing workshop for the foreign-trained lawyers in the Two-Year LL.M. Program at the Georgetown University Law Center (GULC). As I was scheduled to debut this workshop, I prepared a lesson plan for the students by conducting research on which resources are the most effective within GULC’s budget and how much time should be spent on each resource per workshop date. By tracking their statistics on their average words-per-minute (WPM), I determined that my curated lesson plan was successful based on the increase of their WPM from the start to the end of the semester.

  • A semester-long product plan created for my CCTP 806: Product Development in the New Digital Age course at Georgetown University (Fall, 2018). The product plan was for an anti-smoking assistive device named ASAD designed to be a companion accessory for the worlds leading electronic cigarette company Juul. Thorough research on target markets, market segmentations, market competitors, and estimated production costs were collected in order to create a realistic product plan for my product that was supported by evidence and statistical information.

  • I analyzed Gaspar Noé’s visually overstimulating 2010 film, Enter The Void, to suggest that it is a science fiction film regarding the experiences of life, death, the afterlife, and the depiction of those concepts through cinematic techniques and theoretical research on these experiences.

  • For my final research paper in my gender studies course, I analyzed the visual and sonic art depicted in Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed album Lemonade for references regarding race and gender. I applied sociological theories, terminologies and perspectives on what her album embodies and reflects through each song and accompanied music video.

  • Extensive research on the disproportional gender identity laws and practices for transgender voters from state to state was conducted in order for my group members and I to create a training pamphlet for poll workers to properly conduct appropriate and legal gender identification practices during election seasons. We chose to hypothetically pitch our gender identity training program to the National Center for Transgender Equality in hopes that, if our program were to be enacted across the nation, this organization would be the most successful to leverage their broad outreach for the greater good.

  • After much media coverage around this time regarding Halsey’s misinterpreted proclamation of being “tri-bi” (bisexual, biracial, and bipolar), I conducted a research-based analysis of Halsey’s use of queer lyricism and visual representation throughout her artistry. Evidence from scholars within the space of queer studies was used to both mirror and support Halsey’s queer visibility through her art.
